SPIRITUALITY AND THE WAY TO IT

Eventually, everyone thinks about why we live and why our entire world exists. The material world became not enough for us, and we rush into the depths of wisdom. Most often, everything begins with reading bestsellers and with beautiful speeches of new-fashioned gurus. And I, as having read and viewed a lot of sources, assure you, not everything you hear needs to be followed. Some sources are free from wisdom but filled with words.

Spirituality is closeness to God or to the World (Universe) if you do not adhere to monotheistic religions. The higher the level of spirituality – the higher the ability to create and change the world around. The growth of the spirit determines all spheres of human life, it is accompanied by the expansion of personal boundaries, an increasing in number of people that fall into your field of vision, in the scale of actions. An entrepreneur or an artist may be as spiritual as a monk or famous guru, piety is not the same as spirituality. A spiritual and religious person also creates, he directs people with his instructions, which means he changes the world through them.

The path of the spirit is not limited to creativity, it is also love for the world and service to the surrounding beings. First, it is a departure from the limited Ego. At the very beginning, we are only interested in our status, earnings, and personal aims. Hereafter, as our spirit grows, an increasing number of tasks are directed to the outside world, whether it be social projects or commercial initiatives that can change the lives of other people. We are evolving, understanding of unity with the world, achieving awareness and harmony.

The road to self-improvement includes:

Expand personal gain to society gain. Your life should be filled, but personal enrichment should not be an end in itself. Even meditating is worthwhile for a higher purpose than personal awareness. The more people involved in your goals and dreams, the better. You should start with family and friends, and end with the world.

Ability to staying in reality and withstand illusions. It is exceedingly difficult to separate wisdom from fiction. Staying in fantasies created by oneself or someone else leads to absolutely immoral and destructive actions for the spirit. The path to awareness through illusion is self-deception or even sectarianism. And to avoid confusion, divide your experience into: reality, spiritual and fantasy. Reality works for everything. Let everyone see it in different ways, but there is a common grain in it, a general idea that goes beyond the limits of the Ego and one’s own Self. The spiritual sphere is inseparable from reality, but it manifests itself differently, it is more difficult to feel it. Roughly speaking, when everything goes well (good luck accompanies business) and you are mostly positive, then everything is in order in the spiritual sphere. Illusion, on the contrary, moves you away from objective good and relies on fiction and selfishness. Imaginary joy can be achieved through substances, in the same way, beliefs inspired by someone can make you live in a fictional world according to fictional rules. Fantasies are always stagnation and lack of movement. They do not solve the problem, but only drown out the need to solve it.

Periodic analysis of the consequences of your actions or inaction. Analysis of one’s actions is such an underestimated practice that it must be singled out separately. Our actions quickly turn into a habit, seem ordinary and cease to be noticed. Stealing content from the web or doing a half-hearted job when no one is watching are simple and inconspicuous actions that indicate where we will end up. Mindfulness in trivial things should be developed first of all. It is our main support and there are no compromises here.

Think and act as if you are a little more than just a human, accept unity with the world and with God as a given, and spiritual growth will not take long.
